Jezersko scouting

7/08/2013

In my personal blog description I have stated that I promise to "do my part as wannabe fashion diva, surfer and foody." I guess that the first two promises are kinda getting realized but the third one is beeing a bit neglected. Guys, I still do my part as a foody my best, c'mon I would die for a chocolate souffle, just kinda forgot to share it. And this has to be stopped or else...

Anyway couple of weeks ago, jup weeks, me and my awsome mum went to Jezersko, which is a place in the north of Slovenia that takes your breath with its beauty, to scout for some locations for here 50is birthday. And we found this piece of heaven. But the best part was on our way back stopping at my favourite restaurant Krištof in the outskirts of city Kranj. The place is just to yummy.

Krištof's philosophy is mixing traditional slovenian food with modern culinary ideas and the outcome is delicious slowfood masterpieces. My menu started with warm bear's garlic soup with frog's legs which I found interesting becouse it was served in a glass. Then it was time for main course which was beef marinated with sesame, carrots, champions mushrooms with tarragon strukeljs. The beef and strukeljs were delicious but the vegetable was just to plain. The best part for all us sweets maniacs is always the desert which was mango cake with passion topping and chocolate cake with chocolate topping. Which just took me to cake heaven.

My advice is to pack up your empty stomachs and hit Krištof for some spoiling. Bon appetit!
